My name is Jim Fogler. Safe Passage Canine Rescue Transport was founded with my wife, because rescue dogs have always held a special place in our hearts.
Every dog we've owned has come from a rescue. Through those experiences, we've seen firsthand how amazing these animals are, and how much love they have to give when someone gives them a chance.
What has always been difficult for us to accept is the situation many dogs face in Southern shelters. Every day, healthy and adoptable dogs are euthanized simply because there isn't enough space, enough resources, or enough homes available. Knowing that so many dogs lose their lives when there are families willing to adopt them elsewhere is what motivated us to get involved.
We started Safe Passage Canine Rescue Transport with a simple goal: help connect dogs in need with rescues, foster homes, and adopters waiting for them in New England. We believe location can be the bridge between a shelter dog facing an uncertain future and a dog starting a new life with a loving family.
Based in Maine, we provide safe, reliable, climate-controlled transportation for rescue dogs throughout the East Coast. We are currently working toward USDA certification, and are committed to following federal animal transportation standards while providing the highest level of care, safety, and professionalism on every trip.
Every dog that steps into our van is treated as if they were our own. Their comfort, safety, and well-being are our highest priorities.
